single vs twins

single vs twins
still in the thought process on my Nova project, wanted to get some opinions
I had planned on a budget build, but rusty cyls prob gonna lead to an over bore, so with new pistons, might as well get new rods-I have several sets of 317 heads, so I could scrap the idea of LS3 heads
had a lot of Procharged cars, this would be a turbo-street only, so looking for more power down low, seems smaller twins are best, but could a single be used, maybe sized smaller, with a spec. designed cam, work out?
I would start out as a non IC blowthru, let it evolve later
I was kind of inspired by the KB setup on 68II's nova for its packaging,
it would cut down fab time-busy with the body work now, so where ever I can pick up speed is great

stevieturbo is right. However I will point this out as well. There are several recent and active build threads here with guys changing everything because they did the shortcut version the first time. You go back and want twins you throw away all your work for a single. I've learned not to let impatience dictate how I build things. Do it the way you want it and do it once. I think of it like body work you can do the quick version and its a 20-20 car or it can be beautiful if you spend a few more days and another gallon of primer blocking it.
