Default drain plug for return line

drain plug hole for return line? has it been done and how does it work, just an idea i was thinking about.

This was how the QMP kit was originally set up. I think they had problems with oil backing up in the tube and not draining out of the turbo correctly?

I think that would be fine ONLY if you are using a scavenge oil pump like the Incon kit does. For gravity drain, you need to be higher than the oil level in the pan or it will back up and cause your car to smoke like a ****

even a scavange system I think would be wise to go above the oil level.

the side of te pan between the webbing would be the best inmy opinion.

there was a thread about this a while ago talkin g==g about moving the oil return for hte turbotech kits.

You can drain below the oil level if a oil seperator is used, Spearco use to do it with some of there early turbosystems when drilling or removing the pan was difficult.

so i have to tap above the oil level, correct, how high up should i go?

i think its about 4" above the bottom of the pan.
