pulley wobbles??? what do i do?

pulley wobbles??? what do i do?

my ATI crank pulley keeps wobbling and causin the belts to jump off. what do i do to stop this, or what could be casuin this? thanks.

It probably loosened up if its moving around that bad. I would check it before you drive it anymore..

Or worst case... like me a long time ago... you worped the seat wear the crank pulley is sapposed to sit and now you have to buy a new balencer. I bought mine for $95 from the dealer....... or like KP said..... the bolt came lose. TQ it down to 250FTLB's and use some red loctite.

How did you install it? if you used the toold, it whould have gone on straight.. if you used something to beat it on you may have scarred the crank or the hub.. I have seen both done before on some backwoods cam swaps.. never fun telling a customer he needs a new crankshaft..

You dont have to pull the balancer to put the ATI crank pulley on, it sits on top of the stock damper. But they have and do loosen up since ATI doesnt give the crank pin kit with the F-body kits for some odd reason..
