It's my understanding that with a secondary pump, used under boost only, that you have to have a check valve. I'm just going by what I read, no experience. Can anyone comment on this that has done it?
With twin pumps setup like that it would make sense to have a check valve. I've seen some out of Australia that screw directly into the pump and have an AN fitting on the outlet.
I had an 044 with no check valve and my car would usually require 2-3 primes before starting. I never once in two years got it to start with one prime.
