Intercooler in front of radiator.. Is there enough airflow to prevent problems?

Intercooler in front of radiator.. Is there enough airflow to prevent problems? I'm currently putting a 5.3 into a vw corrado that will be boosted via a s475. When I first started this project I was not going to run an intercooler due to space constraints as you can image. I've been pondering running one but it seems the only place I can put one without cutting number to hell and trying to keep a somewhat sleeper status, is in front of the radiator. The radiator I will be using is a Ron Davis that has an overall dimension of 16x31 along with aftermarket fans w/shroud that's rated at 3100 cfm. If I was to run a 31x12x3 or 4" thick intercooler would that pose a problem?

Assuming you are talking air to air intercooler, I originally considered that style but if it went in front of the radiator the end tanks would block quite a bit of air from reaching the radiator. The intercooler core size I was looking at goes right past the core of the radiator fins.

i had overheating problems for awhile. then i did a few mods and it stays pretty cool now. the two thing s that worked best were a massive radiator and an air dam underneath the car.
its really kind of hit and miss-I had one that ran hot at an idle, so I lowered the IC down some, and it was better
