Default O2 sensor?

I am building the hot side for my turbo setup and need to know about o2 placements. Going to be running stock computer set up with a speed density tune. I have read mixed opinions about the o2 placement so that's why I am asking. Do I need to put the factory 02's in the cross over or do they both get put in the down pipe or just one in the down pipe and it wire it together? Also I'm going to put a wideband in the down pipe how far from the turbo does it need to be

The narrowband O2 sensors will need to be placed in each crossover pipe in order to get a proper reading. If both are in the downpipe the computer wont be able to recognize when it is switching around 14.7 on each bank. I have read mixed reviews about having them pre-turbo, mostly that they have a shortened life expectancy there. I haven't had any issues with mine in the last 4 months and I know ls1_chevelle has had his that way for years without issue.

I'm not certain for stand alone fuel management but I know for efilive/hptuners you can't run both banks off of one narrowband.

As for the wideband, put it in the downpipe. I placed mine about 20" from the turbo. I have been told anywhere from 6" - 48" is okay. Again, some say the closer it is to the turbo the better the chance is of burning it up. One tip is, if you are running an open dump you don't want it right at the end to avoid contaminated readings.

Thanks for the advice I was thinking about the crossover but I had seen where people said they would burn up quick. It's just a weekend/track car so it want get drove much.

As for the exhaust I have been thinking about open 5" out the front bumper and it's going to have a open wastegate's also. Or run a single 4" to my preexisting exhaust which is a 4" mufflex

Yea fair enough, if it is just a weekend car maybe just tune it for Open loop? I ran mine on open loop for a good couple of months. It's not super hard, although it's nearly impossible to tune it 100% for all temps.

That would be sweet. On my car I have a 4" pipe down under the passengers seat, then a cutout then it converts to a dual 2.5" factory style exhaust. I love it, screams when you want it to and no drone when on the highway cruising.

Use a custom op system, [EFILIVE COS5], and do away w/ the narrow band sensors.....

Default O2 solution

I run the Innovative LC2 which has 2 outputs. One narrow band for the PCM and the other for my laptop or the A/F gauge. Cost is ~$150....John
