A little bit of an update.....after talking with some electric fan companies I believe I have learned that one large fan is way better than 2 smaller fans. I did not know this before. So I ordered a flex-a-lite 118 16" fan rated at 2500 cfm. Hopefully that will do the job. Now, update on vacuum modulator. I bought another new one andIinstalled it and took the car for a short drive around the block. No smoke whatsoever. Then once my girly got home from work I had her follow me (just in case) and took a much longer drive. This is where is gets weird. I drive for a few miles around neighborhoods and no smoke at all, then I make a turn on a long strait road and take it to about 7 psi. Sounded great and spooled great, but she said when I did this there was a small haze of smoke but not much and she could smell it as well. Shortly after this I returned home and pulled up in front of my house and the car was not smoking a bit. The temp still looked good so I left the car running put it into park, opened the door and popped the hood. About 5 seconds later I make it to the front of the car and all the sudden this HUGE bellow of smoke comes out and then it stops. I shut it off pretty quick after that. Reached u der the car and pulled of the hose on the vacuum modulator and it looks dry as a bone. Waited for it to cool down a bit then fired it back up and not a bit of smoke. Repeated this again later and the same thing. No smoke at all. Lowered fuel pressure a bit because I believe my startup tune was for 43.5 psi and my regulator was on 62 or so. Not loosing any water so I do not believe its that, took my charge pipe off and shined a light into my intake manifold to see if it was just filled with tranny fluid but no standing fluid. Definitely damp more towards the rear where the modulator hose enters at but nothing standing. Any reason why it would bellow that much just one time about 10 seconds after the car was stopped? Im so confused its not even funny.

Man I had the same issues with my setup with heating. I have a 406 turbo ina small G35 coupe and the only way I was able to get it to stay cool is a dual pass griffen rad with 2350cfm fan. Even in Louisiana 100* weather and boosting 16lbs it never goes above 185*. I run a single puller 22x19x3 griffen. The dual pass rads is where it is at. Good luck

I wish I could have ran a 19" tall radiator but I really didnt want to cut any more than I had too so I had to go with the 15.5" tall rad that fits vertically in my 97 SS. But im not as worried about that because I think this new puller ive got coming will solve my issue. My biggest concern at this point is the odd bellows of smoke for what appears to be no reason. Haha

im not sayin ur fans are the issue but make sure u have a sufficient radiator also, im running a griffon 55241, not the 25241 like most do that have over heating issues, for my fans there 2 10in $45 basic electric fans from pboys (haden?) what ever brand they use, i have them mounted as pusher fans through my AC condensor then onto my radiator and ive had 0 over heating issues even when its 95 degrees out,

only time i had an issue is on those 90 degree nights at the circle track i had it go above 210 while i was sitting in the pits with the AC on after a lap or so, turned ac off no issues after it had time to catch up

with that being said just make sure everything matches up with what ur setup is running and u shouldn't have an issues, make sure fans are both wired correctly (not sayin u did but sometimes u can miss the simplest things).

id also check what ur fan turn on temp is, think mines like 210 low speed 215 high, so u might ether need to turn down the temp they kick on at or let it go to 215 at idle and just keep a sharp eye on it, letting it get to 215-220 at idle and watching it closely wont be a huge issue but i wouldnt make it a habit about doing it a lot ether.

Heck my wife's ctsv does not even kick in the second fan until somewhere over 230+ which surprised the Heck out of me. I would watch it and see what it gets to within reason. Mine does not level out until about 210ish at idle. I do plan on adding a second spal and replacing my other eBay fan though. Right now I am running one eBay and one spal.
