Blow Thru Cam Thoughts
Well pretty well the end of the year here and I'm looking to make a cam change as I have a n/a cam in the motor now , the cam being a 230/236 591/601 on a 112 in a LY6 6.0 with a s475 75/83 compressor/turbine with a 1.10 housing. Now Ive talked to a few cam advisers here on the forum and some off , bottom line I'm confused ! A few say to have at least a 115 lobe separation ( as well as my local engine guru) , others have mentioned to stay around a 112 or tighter because of being carbed. Also others with a reverse split on duration........
The car on ten pounds , 14 degrees timing has gone a 10.40@142 with a 1.42 60 foot best . cars 3320 with me and a turbo 350 , brake and 4500 stall.
Guess I'm looking for recommendations or for whats working out there.
