TVS2300 or 2.3 Whipple for supercharger would get my vote, turbo 2nd, and a centri style 3rd for your application.

Here is a dyno of my 6.0 with 2.3 Whipple, 4L80E, ford 9 inch, unlocked converter...

Just as modern diesels are able to build boost early with correctly sized turbos, so will a petrol engine.

Especially when loaded up against a heavy truck and auto trans.

You should have no problem whatsoever making boost very early as long as you pick small turbos. And with a low 600hp goal, this should be very easy.

Turbo's are torqy as hell. Not sure why everybody thinks there is so much lag wich all turbo's.
