lq9 budget build procharged help
hello going to start my first build. swapping out an lq9 into my 02 SS. Found a deal on a lq9 block with 243 heads, ls6 cam and ls6 intake. Im calculating that its basically an iron ls2 at this point close to 11:1 comp ratio around 400hp. i tried searching any procharged builds with this setup but couldn't find anything. i know the high compression is not optimal for FI but just looking to make a nice 550hp-600hp DD car. I have a p1sc procharger that i will be throwing on it @8psi hopefully. also looking to pick up 60lb injectors and walbro 225 pump. is the hp do able with this setup? Any Help or suggestions on this build?

I had a 255 in tank with a "hot wire" and was running out of steam around the 550hp mark. Down to 40psi by 6,000 rpm's.
I've had the tank out of the car 3 times and now I have a double pumper from Lonnie's. Just do duals once and forget about , you'll be turning up the boost in no time. It's crazy how fast you get used to 600+hp lol.
There are plenty of threads on the DIY dual pumps if you don't want to pay for plug and play. Don't skimp on the fuel system it will cost you more in the end, ask me how I know

Is your P-1SC a six rib kit with the smaller 3.5" twin intercoolers? FYI: ProCharger also has 4.5" twin intercoolers. If it has the 3.5" intercoolers I would either jump up to the 4.5" twin intercoolers or a front mount. The six rib kit comes with a smaller 6.0" dia crank pulley, which requires a small head unit pulley to make boost. You are going to have to spin the P-1SC at max impeller speed (62,000 rpm) for our combination. If it is a six rib kit I would convert it to an eight rib kit. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-1GJ11...-1GJ115-08.htm The eight rib kit comes with a larger 7.65 dia crank pulley. I would then go with the 8 rib 3.40 blower pulley. Bob
