Default Which (factory) ECM?

Guys,
I have an '08 5.3 out of an avalanche, complete with harness. I'm going to be putting a twin package together using BW 62mm turbos. I have all of the above listed items but I did not get an ECM with my motor/trans/harness package.
Can anyone tell me what my best option is for a factory GM ECM for my set up?
Thanks!

Might want to look at the aftermarket ECU's, they aren't really that much more expensive than factory when you add in all the other incidentals. I started with factory computer and Speed Density tune. Had to buy the ECU, paid to have the harness converted to stand alone, bought HP Tuners for the speed density OS, bought AEM boost control, Innovate Wideband, separate alcohol injection, separate 2 step, etc. After adding everything up, realized I could have gotten the Holley HP for about the same amount of money. Much easier and cleaner having everything in one box vs. wiring everything together. Tuning the Holley is more intuitive, much better boost controller, data logging, safeties, etc. Wish I would have just started with the Holley. Just my 2 cents.

hbhc,
Thanks for your personal input. I bought the motor/trans with harness to drop into another project and it was gonna just be a quick transplant and go, NA, no frills etc. Now that I'm using the motor (only) in a different vehicle and hanging twins on it, the aftermarket ECU is probably the wiser choice. Not what I wanted to hear, but when you spell it out as you did, it's pretty much a no brainer.
I hate to throw away what I have, but it's really only the harness. It does have the trans harness and TCM with it, but I'm not using that trans.
Once again, thanks for your input on your personal experience. I couldn't have gotten a better reply!

I've decided to go Holley HP on this build, can anyone recommend which HP system I should use? I've done some searching and find several different part numbers for the HP system.
I'll be ordering the harness as well, not just the ECU.
Thanks!

The difference in the various HP systems have to do with whether you have a 24 or 58 tooth crank, what style injectors, and which wideband sensor it has.

So you have a 58 tooth engine, figure out what connectors are on the injectors you plan to use, and which wideband (Bosch or NTK) you want to have.

Thanks Andrew.......that's the info I needed. Somehow I was not able to find a breakdown like that....most likely due to my ignorance.
Thanks again!
