5.3 with GT55?
5.3 with GT55? I'm new to the turbos. My goal is 1200 - 1300 hp or low 8 sec street car. I have a 5.3 that im boring and stroking to a 383. Will my 91mm gt55 turbo be enough with my 5.3 or should i move up to a 6.0 block? Its going in a 87 Monte Carlo. I just need some advice before i order my pistons.

Stock bottom end 5.3 with a GT55 making 1300+ whp and running 4.80s in the 1/8th mile.
There is nothing wrong with the 4.8/5.3 block, and the decision for a stroker is completely up to you.
