my question is how stout is that motor? can you get a forged rotating assembly and will the heads stay on it when the presures go up? if it is anywhere near as sturdy as the gen3 motors you will be set.
be prepaired for more power than you know what to do with!!

As far internals, I am still in the the air about it, Could buy used 8.1, and build it, some marine versions of the 8.1 come with forged crank and rods. But serious considering a GMPP ZZ502 short block that has strong internals, change pistons to lower cr. Just don't know if a 502 will bolt up to mount and allison trans. And of course suncoast stage 5 allison is NOT cheap. Will see what happens. Thanks again for all the info.

I have a 2500 HD Duramax...it is only a 6.6liter...which is much smaller than any 500cid. It has a single turbo and with my Programmer I have 500/700 hp/tq. Which I actually took out because it would burn out my 325/60 18" Nitto Terras on the pavement...so how much more Turbo do you really want???
