What's your opinion?
I'm building a 5.3 for my 98 TA. The plan is to eventually do a front mount junkyard setup. For the moment though, I'm wanting to just freshen up the LM7 and toss it in the car, then drive it while I build the turbo setup to put on later.
I do want to go ahead and do the cam before I put the engine in. I know where I can get a custom grind cheap, but I wanted to get some opinions on whether or not you think it'll be a decent cam to run n/a for a while, then put the boost to it later. The specs on the cam are 224/226 .569/.569 with a 114 LSA. My setup, before going to the turbo later, will be the the LM7 with the stock heads, an LS6 intake and longtubes. I have a set of Patriot Gold Springs too. My car is an A4 with a 3200 stall.
I'm thinking I can pick up that cam for less than $100, but if it doesn't sound like it'll be boost-friendly, I'll wait for something else. What do ya'll think?
