FWIW most go forward facing and down. Allows for a cleaner install and factory mounted coils and wires.

Some of the corvette manifolds are stamped SS. My 98 Fbody manifolds are also stamped SS. Originally I set them upside down and forward facing. Was a hassle with the wires and coils IMO. I've since run a truck manifold downward and forward facing and I like it much better.

Thanks for the info. I can see how the plug wires and dipstic will be a hassle with them upside down. I think I need to get some Vbands on them before I go further because it will give more mounting options instead of the flanges.

When You guys mount these to the block what are you using to seal them? I have a bad streak of header leaks and I don't feel like dealing with that. Do these seem to seal well?

'95 wannabe, Those could be an option. Do you know what size the Vband is?

OEM MLS manifold gasket installed dry and torqued to spec. Important to not over torque them. They break off easily. I’ve never had one leak and I’ve always reused the gaskets. From what I’ve seen, header leaks are a thing of the past with LS stuff! I also block sand the mating surfaces on the head and manifold.

Good deal. I am so sick of leaking manifold gaskets. I have a table sander I can run them ultra flat on.
