Meth injection lines have brown rust like buildup

I took my meth injection lines off and the insides have a rust like brown buildup. They are stainless lines, and my meth tank is plastic so I do not know where this could come from other than the pump itself. Is there anything inside the pump that could cause this? It is an AIS kit.

Yes, should always use distilled. There are mineral deposits and other various crap in tap water.
