Meth injection lines have brown rust like buildup

Meth injection lines have brown rust like buildup I took my meth injection lines off and the insides have a rust like brown buildup. They are stainless lines, and my meth tank is plastic so I do not know where this could come from other than the pump itself. Is there anything inside the pump that could cause this? It is an AIS kit.
