Hello guys looking for some more info on my build.I have a snow stage 2 meth kit with dual nozzles, has anyone ran this kit with 100% meth without any problems, I know I should have bought the alky control should have done more research on it.I thought if I ran braided lines it would be OK any input would be appreciated.

you need PTFE or plastic lines if you use straight meth/alcohol

it's not just the lines that you have to worry about. I would call snow and see if the seals in the pump can handle 100% meth or not before you consider trying it

Before a friend switched to Alky Control he had a snow kit and the lines would leak and the pump wasn't able to handle 100%

Thanks for the replies called snow they said that their pump would handle it but they wouldn't warranty it if it failed, guess I'll try to sell this one and get the alky control kit just to be safe.

No personal experience myself. But a few months back I purchased a used dual knozzle high boost kit myself. The guy had been running 100 percent meth. For 6 months with no issues.

I've ran 100% in my snow kits for years but have to replace the lines about every 2 months. They harden, shrink and leak after awhile.

Thumbs up

I've used that same stg2 kit on 4 of my vehicles over the years with 100% in each of them with no issues. Only thing is I do use my own PTFE line. Never any pump or fitting issues.

1/4 inch stuff from McMaster Carr. It's like 50cents a foot.

FWIW, the snow performance pump and kit is made of the same quality (if not better in some cases) than Alky control (both are considered the best kits available). To say the Snow pump is going to go bad under full meth would be false in my opinion. But something to consider if the warranty concerns you. Know this also, Snow Performance warranties their pumps for life. Alky control doesn't and in fact reccomends changing theirs out after a period of time.

The difference is in the mentality of the owners. Snow Performance believes in a 50:50 mix for best results. Alky control believes in 100% meth.

There's about a million different threads on peoples opinions and preferences and why. In the end, there's no conclusive evidence one is better for everything than another.

I like running 50:50 water meth mix. Its less corrosive, cheaper, and I like the cooling effect the water gives.

I recommend you make up your own mind before swapping unecissary parts.

I will add also to swap the lines to be on the safe side of 100% meth. I meant the kit itself would be fine (the pump, tank, nozzles)

I add 10% distilled water to the alcohol because I use the windshield washer tank and straight meth will destroy the wipers in minutes. LOL. Alkycontrol.
