Another cam & boost question

LM7 5.3 - stock internals and compression
Ls9 head gaskets
Head studs
862 heads - double springs
Holley mid ram intake
Forward facing headers
Fuel setup to run E85
S480 turbo - T6 96mm 1.32 exhaust housing - race cover

T56 transmission
2500lb car

Car isn't being built as a drag car. Would have went with a powerglide for that...
Car is being built as a highway monster. Honestly, a stock 5.3 will be a quite a bit of power in such a light car, so I really only need the turbo for added top end power.
3.55 rear gears currently, but may drop that to 3.30 at some point.

I feel like the lightweight car will let me get away with a larger cam that makes less low end power?

Car is just a weekend toy, no daily driving, but I would like it to be able to cruise down the highway at 70mph if needed.

Car will certainly have traction issues, even with drag radials, so perhaps that larger turbo will keep the torque number a little lower and help out in that department.

Eventually car will get a 370ci+ bottom end dropped into it.

Does anyone recommend anything in particular? Probably wind up going with tick stg2 turbo cam unless someone thinks there is something out there that might be better for this setup.

If anything given the lightweight car, big turbo, small motor, huge intake...

You're going to need a small cam to get the damn thing spooled !

Our 4.8/5.3 Stage 2 turbo cam you mentioned would be an excellent choice.

219/223 .619/.585 114+3

Sounds like a nice setup. You are right about traction being an issue.

Thanks Martin. Is that a different Stage2 than what's on your website?

I'm seeing 231/231 .63x/.59x 115+5 on your website:

Thanks, hoping it will be fast for a street car at least. Planning to run 315 drag radials under the rear, which on a car this small, look massive. LOL

I'm not sure if the web guys have gotten the 4.8/5.3 turbo cams on the retail website yet.

You can check them out at www.tickwholesale.com for sure though.
