first start up and build questions? Just had a few questions about some things when building and starting my engine.
1. What assembly lube do you use and why?
2. What brake in oil and why?
3.on first start/brake in do you leave the turbo off and run it na till the brake in is done or put it on and drive it?
4.what oil do you run?
This is my first turbo build and just trying to clear a few things up

i can say dont use a synthetic until after 500 miles, basically put in conventional and change after 100 miles, then after 500 you can run whatever you want.
and you run with your turbo on it, just keep the wastegate open

What is the downside of using a synthetic oil first?
conventional is just usually used to help properly seat piston rings and such, and help speed up the process of the break in time, and its easier to buy the cheaper oil that your dumping n not even using anyways after 2 changes n 500 miles lol
