Looking for budget minded build Hi all im gathering parts for my 55 build, I have a 6.0 and a 4l60e and an 80e. MY question is what is the best economical build recipe? Motor has 100k so freshening up or rebuild? What trans and turbo set up? Looking for maybe 500-600 horse
Read that guide and it doesn't mention gapping the rings. Is it necessary to gap the rings? I have read before that they need to be gapped to .030 top and .028 on second rings. I have the 5.3L and have yet to do this. Can someone comment on this?
It's been stated quite a few time that if the engine has 100k miles or better on it, then it more than likely doesn't need to be gapped. If it has low miles they will probably need to be gapped.
