supercharger on lq4?

supercharger on lq4? hello guys want to start out by saying im new here and new to the ls world in general.hope to have fun and learn some new stuff.
ok onto the question.
i own a 1992 firebird that i plan on putting a lq4 out of a 2003 denali with only 73k miles on it . my plans are to basically keep it stock inside, pondering putting promax stage 3 ls6 heads on it to keep the cathedrals, long tubes, cam etc. paired to a t56 . so after i build this and put it in and save up for a bit i was pondering investing in a magnuson mp112 or tvs1900 for the gto ( i asume it will fit since i have to use a f body front belt drive assembly ) and i gather the ls6 heads will raise my compression to 10.0 or so and i am wondering if it would still be safe to run a maggie. i have searched for the answer but no specific answers for this motor and compression combo etc. agian im new so sorry if this has been asked many times. the help is greatly apreciated thanks.

Welcome, thats not a bad setup your considering. I am doing a procharger setup on basically the same engine combo. The ls6 heads will up the comp on that LQ4 to roughly 10.2:1. The setup will work with F.I. on 93 pump gas but the tune is key. Meth would help the safety factor a bit not to mention some extra hp especially in the summer heat.

yea i was looking for the instant massive torque that you get from positive displacement supercharhers thats what i like since its basicly a street car and i just love the whine from them. i was considering meth but... honestly i dont know how it works. or what i use on it i mean ive heard you can use windshield washer de icer cuz it has methanol in it instead of the expensive meth bottles but im not sure and i still have to figure out my old rear end and if it would hold up to freespirited street driving.
also i dont know what size headers to get 1 3/4s or 1 7/8s since my car is a third gen there are very few options hawks sells them for almost a grand and are the only ones that offer 1 7/8s primaries but racing inovations offers 1 3/4 primmary headers for roughly 300 bucks
