Depends on your power goals. A set of comp studs (china junk) are around $70. If your running a junk yard SBE motor I'd suggest those over ARP. They are proven to work well. Alper motors and a few other ebay sellers have these. ARP studs are 5x as expensive and do not provide anywhere near 5x the clamping loads. For $500-1000 JY builds ARP is not needed for most.

You have to make sure you get the right set gen3 motors require a different stud kit than Gen4.

So here the thing, I called Jose and Force inductions and he recommended a Borg Warner s366. I ordered it and now that I'm ready to finish fab, people are telling me it too small and I'm gonna lift a head because of too much back pressure.

Need help, Is this turbo going to ok or should I try to get my hand on a S400? Again, a cruiser that's got ***** when needed, lol.

Thanks in advance for the advice

Hey, during you build did you replace main rod and cam bearings? if so, can you please provide part numbers? I am also building a Turbo 5.3. Just need bearing part numbers please.

As for my build, yes I did replace all the bearings. Luckily I got away with a line hine and polish, didnt need to turn my crank...

Here are the bearings I used. basically just OE replacements, for STD main and rod sized bearings
