Default Question about scabenge pumps

Guys with scavenge pumps. Do you run a relay timer to run the pump for 10 seconds or so after the car is shut down? Right now I have my pumped wired into my ignition so when I turn the key the pump is running. I'm turn the ignition back to "on" after I turn the car off to suck all the oil into the pan so it doesn't come thru the turbo. Should I worry about doing that and buy a timer or not worry about the pump running after I turn the car off?

I have mine on a switch so I can run it after shut down. I had a turbo timer wired up at one point to run just the scavenge pump but when I redid all my wiring, I decided to use a switch for now.

My key into the ignition is my "switch". I didn't want to forget to turn it on and end up with a mess.

Some do, some dont. Entirely up to you..

Depending on your specific scavenge layout it may or may not be a useful addition.
