Crankcase evap into exhaust not working
I have each valve cover tied into the exhaust with a 5/8 hose, using this kit:
http://www.summitracing.com/nv/parts/vpe-1189
The bung into the exhaust is at the proper 45 degree angle. No matter how I clock the fitting, I can feel exhaust pulsing back up through the line and into the valve cover. Revving up the motor doesn't seem to make a difference. I just got the car running and haven't driven it yet. I want to get this part taken care of before putting any boost to it. Its an LQ9 with twin 70's. The car does have mufflers, but they are not chambered.
Is this normal when not under load, or do I have another problem? Thanks

These are made to work with open headers. I've run them with vibrant 3.5"x6" bullets and they still worked, but they are designed to be used with pretty much no back pressure. However I think they have a little valve in the part that mounts to the header that keeps exhaust from blowing back into the motor. You may have a issue with that being defective......if it's only on one bank, I couldn't see both not working properly. Looking at the kit you bought I don't think they use the same type of end on the collector like the ones I'm thinking of, do they have a check ball of some sort inside?

In the past I've used the Moroso evac kit a few times. None of which were very successful. Always on a street car with full exhaust, and generally I found that the check valves just go back and stick closed. I really wouldn't even bother to be honest...

There are no check valves, I'll see what I can find and get them added. They are in each down pipe off the turbos. Roughly 3 feet after the turbos. Next question. I've seen diagrams with the opening of the fitting facing up and down. I'm assuming up is correct (they are mounted in the top of the pipe), but want to make sure.

You can't expect it to actually pull vacuum. Setup the way it is on a turbo car through a full exhaust
I have it, I love it.
But it isn't a vacuum pump
It is more like an open to atmosphere breather without the blow by smell

The other kits seem to stick down into the exhaust more. If bung is welded on the outside of the pipe and this kit in the link welded in it seems like it wouldn't really stick down into the exhaust far enough. I to am going to be running this setup but was looking at another kit.
Looking at this kit.

Installed a new kit today with check valves and sunk the fittings into the exhaust a little more. Much better. Can only feel a tiny bit of exhaust leaking back up at idle. Thanks to everyone that responded.
