read the forums, and find somebody selling their kit, you can go back and reference thier name, and see all the posts they made about the kit.

cost about #3200-$4000 for the kit your looking for. There is always a risk, thats why i say research the person your buying it from, and the date it was bought

i'm in the process of piecing together a Vortech aftercooled kit for my car, I have bought parts off of 5+ different board members. It has taken me about 18 months so far, and i still have a few parts to collect, but i should save a decent chunk of change, and allow me to upgrade some parts (injectors, fuel pump, ect)

I DO NOT reccomend this approach to anybody else, its way too time consuming. These are not mustang S trim kit, where everybody has parts for them, it has been very very hard to find parts for the vortech V9 kit.

Ryan.

New is always going to be better but you will pay a new price also. SSC5R is selling one I don't know if he has sold it or not I think he was asking @$2800 not sure look down through the threads he has it listed here It might be a couple of week old so good luck.

buying a complete kit is fine from somebody else. thats what i wish i would have done, but instead my $650 headunit that i thought was a good deal, until i found out it required anotheer $2700 in parts from vortech to complete a "kit"

i startd mine by buying bracket from somebody, headunit from somebody else, balancer from a third person, tubing and aftercooler from a fourth, ect...

I'd say $3500-5000 for a used Vortech V9 kit.

Keep in mind that you can probably get a full history of a blower by contacting the vendor and supplying a serial number. As for the cost of a used SC kit - figure $3,000 - $4,000. Personally, I would spend the extra grand a buy a new one.

Cheers,

Mark
