What timing set are u all using in the lq4 , lq9 motor ? It is for a 99transam with a blower . And what oil pump ? High volume, or high psi . I do plan on running a I'll cooler with a remote oil filter .

Make sure you get a timing set based on front or rear cam sensor
I run a good double chain set, and stock pump I port and add a spacer
under the spring
I pack the pump gears with some trans assemb. grease, helps with suction
on int. startup, quick oil pressure
Lots of diff combo's people use, all work, usually what someone is using is the best, lol
