Turbo 4.8
Hey guys I am about to start picking up some parts for my turbo 4.8. I am looking to put down over 600hp and was wondering if this turbo from on3 would be a good choice. I actually have a 5.3 s10 and a regular 4.8 Silverado. The turbo could possibly go on either one of these. Is this a good turbo?

Lots of people here have used the On3 turbos. They are a supporting vendor on this site. You'd really have to dig back pretty far to find failures on these turbos, and you'll probably find even more failures from precision on your way there.
I had an On3 76mm and have no complaints about it. I even ordered without specifying an A/R and they let me send it back and swapped it out for me free of charge.
There are lots of people here making 600 hp on them, and even a couple making over 1000 running them as twins. They spool lightning fast but I wouldn't run one on a 6.0 unless it has a stock cam or you'll choke the turbine.
The $650 S475/83 is a much better option, but its physically a much larger turbo and will take up more room in the engine bay. You'll also need to toss in another $150 or so to switch from a T6 to a T4 housing.
