700rwhp on a Budget?
Dont spend money of a forged engine. I know your train of here but it really doesn't apply any more with these ls based motors. Especially on e85 or pump and meth. You can easily have 700 whp without touching the engine. Get a 5.3 from the junk yard, put some new ls9 head gaskets and arp head studs and call it a day.
a single walbro 400 in tank pump will do 700 tire
the china 88/83 precision clone will do over 700 tire
a stock ls2 rodded 5.3 will slam out 700 tire through an auto
depending on harness and ecu you can do much cheaper for stock stuff.

I just sold a stock cubed LS3 with a Maggie TVS2300 that came with my Pro-touring 68 Camaro. Made about 800hp. I am building another LS7 headed/whipple motor. I shooting for 1000HP+. I have been speaking to a number of builders for 6+ months and can give you some insight. PM and we can chat......I will say my changes will be well north of 15k.....haha

Ive got about 7k in my entire aluminum 5.3 turbo swap into my nova. Complete fuel system and trans included (Ricks tank and billet converter werent cheap).
In all honesty you could do the same swap for 4-5k if you already have fuel system. Should hit 700 wheel on pump gas.
Some guys would just rather toss 15 grand at it and be done.
