Default Intercooler help

Car is a 408ci with 91mm bullseye comp r 1.0 turbo. I am going to start building my cold side as I have a custom hot side and I was looking at the treadstone Tr1245-28 with is a 1200hp intercooler and says it's a 1800cfm flow rate with less than a 2.5 psi drop rate. I'm shooting for around 800rwhp with maaaaaybe some room to grow. For a little over $500 it doesn't seem bad. Any recommendations on this or something similar? Not looking to spend $1000+ on one right now.

I think Im going to go with this as an over the winter upgrade. Right now I run the popular ebat 4inch one. I have read that the horizontal flow IC is not as good as the vertical.

A 408 with a 91mm hair dryer and your shooting for 800whp? Holy overkill haha. Ebay intercoolers have proven themselves to go into the 8's and even the 7's in the quarter though

Like I said I will have room to grow. I think it's pointless to jump straight into a 1000hp+ car right away. Once I get used to my set up then I will up the boost. My car made almost 500rwhp just on motor before I changed it. So just jumping to around 800 will be a pretty big jump at first

But again should I look at other intercooler instead of he one I listed? I don't want an eBay intercooler that "has been" in the 8s . I want something a little more "reliable"

That should work fine. I've run a smaller core 3.5" treadstone twin turbo to 1000whp 24 psi and saw 160-170 deg iat startin at 90-ish deg on a 8 sec pull in 40's deg ambient. Just a dyno run starting at 45 deg it rose to 93 in 45 deg ambient lol. It was def small.
4.5 core and abit more area will work better, and 800whp lsx shouldnt be much over 14-16 psi so air temps wont be quite as hot.

I switched from the popular CX intercooler to a Garrett 4.5" core. I purchased some cast aluminum end tanks and hose connectors separately then had it welded up. I have less than $700 in the deal. Haven't had the car out yet thou to see if anything changed.
