Default knock on first pull only

i have a stock lq4 with a blower cam in it and a 76mm front mount turbo on 12psi, been finishing up the tune on it now and ive made a handfull of highway pulls in it, one thing i cant pin point or figure out is, if i start the car, drive it around get it up to tep, IATs around 95-105F, ECT around 200-210, everything looking good, ill make a WOT pull in 3rd or 4th, and the first pull ill get 1-2 degrees of KR at 1.20g/s (full boost) which i would take as knocking and would need to back off timing, but if i go to make another pull i get clean 0s across the whole KR table, the first "pull of the day" i get 1-2 degees, then i would do 3-6 more pulls right after that one and id get 0degrees every pull till i shut the car off ( maybe also wait awhile of cruising around havnt been out that long though), this has happened 2-3 times, each different days

should i take this as real knock?

running just 93oct and also im only at 11 degrees timing in boost and almost every other lq4 build around 10-14psi are at least 14 degrees, most 16 degrees advance ish area, so i feel my timing is very safe and i shouldn't be getting knock at all but i do on the first pull only it seems

my A/F is right at 11.6-11.8 through all the pulls

when i get on my tuning comp ill try to post tune up and scan

is there anything that could cause this "random" first pull knock? im not 100% comfortable ignoring it yet and not sure where to start looking at that would still cause knock with correct A/F and low timing

i have TR6s gapped at .025 also, worked well on last engine that was a 5.3 on 16psi and 11degrees, never knocked and pulled its *** off so im kinda ignoring it now but if you all think its worth it to pull and inspect plugs i will

In for answers. What kind of power were you making on the 5.3 at 16psi and 11 degrees? I'm tuning a 4.8 with a 76mm now, and I was thinking I would only be able to go to around 14 lbs or so on 93 before I started experiencing knock.

Was an lm7 with 243 heads so i had 9:1 CR, same blower cam im runnin now, never made it to dyno but an identical engine with diff brand turbo cam and 17psi put down 804rwhp, ill say this on 315/35r17 nittos i could roll into it 3rd and boost would come on and it blow the tires off, actually a little scary at 80mph lol

Mine is a 4.8 with 243s, so compression should be a tad below 9 on this one I think. I'm surprised you were able to make that much on just 93, but hopefully I can have the same luck. Did it finally come apart?

Gotcha. Well hopefully this 4.8 won't have any issues making 600ish. That's all I'm shooting for for now. Thanks for the info. Sorry I couldn't help on your question
