AMS-500 Boost Controller Install Review
AMS-500 Boost Controller Install Review I installed the AMS-500 Boost Controller a few weeks ago. I had a manual boost controller and it would not hold the boost steady in either low or high gear. I installed a small 2.5 lb CO2 bottle to go along with the install.
I had to call AMS twice for clarification and he answered the phone and gave me the guidance that I needed...much appreciated.
I took the car out for a tuning run on Saturday morning and the boost was rock solid in both low and high gear regardless of the load. Install was very straightforward.
The new design monoblock that is included in the kit does not match the install directions so that is why I called as I was not sure what ports went to either the decrease or increase solenoids.
With that being said the monoblock gives a much cleaner and more simple installation.
I am planning on hitting the track this Friday night for a test and tune to see how it works now that the boost is steady.
