Default Summer heat and racing

Short of avoiding racing till the mine shaft air comes back to atco, any advice on racing with a turbo car?

prob gonna be ~80*, and 70% humidity, but, need some baseline pulls on car. WOT AFR is super rich ~10.8-11.0 area and timing is under 20*, no meth/water injection just a 4inch core FMIC.

Really worrying over nothing but don't want the damn thing to melt down on me, or worse, run 12s.

I like to blow mine up around May... Then it's back together late August for cooler weather.

What fuel?

Meth/water inj never hurts and is cheap and easy.

I'd have timing more towards 15* at moderate boost and 12* at 18+.

Watch coolant temps closely before runs. Check plugs, make baby steps.

93 pump tuned, and I only have a 14gph nozzle which coupled with an already fat WOT I think will hydrolock the poor thing. (meth/h20 system is there cause I thought IAT would be bad, never used so far)

Contemplating splashing some 100ll or 100 pump in say a half tank of 93

What are you tuning with? What kind of boost do you want to run?

Turn the fuel back to 11.5 or so... Then spray 14gph at 9-10lbs. Personally I wouldn't run 20* of timing on pump gas over 8-10lbs.

More octane never hurts. Leaded stuff can hurt your WB02.

I ain't tuning lol

She was tuned on a MD a few months ago, and we left it pretty rich cause it kept making power and trans wasn't liking it. Its not 20* thats for sure I just don't know the exact number.

Its only 15psi

Depending on how its tuned, you could dial back your base fuel pressure 2-3 psi tp lean it out a touch and then spray the water and meth. The water alone has a ton of cooling/detonation resistance benefits.

Tossed three gallons of 100 in it, and went 140 in 80* @ 3660lb, she got heavy with the bar

But, same sixty as last year and knocked .03 off ET, happy with that
