Default Turbo setup for a 70 C10 SWB

Hey everyone, I bought a 70 c10 short bed fleetside, and I'm just about done with the teardown phase, and will start to address suspension and brakes next. I have a thread over on 67-72chevytruck forums here:

I plan to run either a 5.3 or 6.0 with a turbo and a 4L80E. I can do a fair amount of mechanical work, but when it comes to turbo fabrication, I don't have any experience nor the proper tools (welder, tubing bender, etc). Obviously, I'm not expecting to buy a out of the box kit and slap it on and call it a day.

I'm looking for someone that may do turbo kits on the side, and perhaps done a setup on 67-72 C10 trucks. I'd like to be able to run A/C as well as the truck is a factory A/C setup, but I'll likely go with a vintage air unit down the road.

I'd like to make around 650-700 rwhp, with room to grow in the future. I'm trying to do as much of the work on this project myself, but this is probably one of the few areas I'll have to sublet out. Thanks to anyone has some advice/input.

I'd like to hear what others suggest. But I do know flipped truck manifolds won't clear the AC mount up high. Some people cut the frame to clear the AC comp and leave it down low and use Doc Blocks or similar to hook up AC lines. Check out WastedIncome build of his K5 turbo build on 67-72 site. But it's non-intercooled. He used one flipped C6 manifold and one flipped truck manifold. Or maybe use a log style manifold and wrap the driver's side behind and in to the pass side. Even with all the room under these trucks, it will get tight doing a turbo and AC but very do-able.

If the a/c adds too much cost up front, I can certainly leave it off now and deal with retrofitting it at a later time.

On3 has a kit for the newer Silverados, but I dont know if that could adapt to a 67-72 c10 very easily:

But I can't find any reviews or info about it on here. It appears it might just be a re-branded cx racing kit.
