Default Volvo Wagon V2 First Dyno runs

Just thought I would throw out a short Version 2 build of my Volvo Wagon.
I originally put this together last winter and this was my first experience with a LS engine and first with a turbo. Just wanted to have something cheap, different and relatively fast.

Version 1 is a 4.8 JY engine, 862 heads, ls6 cam and intake, pac 1218 springs, China GT45 turbo and tuned by the Denmah. All the piping, mounts ect, I fabricated myself. 4L80E and I narrowed and swapped in a 8.8 Explorer rear.

Version 1 on the Dyno

Car has been an absolute blast so far and I have had a ton of fun in it, but......
Just like everyone else I want more so here we are at Version 2

I love sleepers! Especially wagons! Looking forward to catching you at Cecil with it.

Thanks. I still have the stock radials on it and the converter is way too tight so its not real impressive at the track. Doesn't make any boost till 300' out or so and then just blows the tires off it.

Is a new stall part of phase two? That new 5.3 is going to be gnarly. What a fun little wagon.

Yes, I have a Circle D Billet triple disc sitting at home waiting on the swap to happen.

Yes, my brother Jim owns Cecil. I wasn't planning on running it that night. Took it up just to hang out and Jim and everyone was ragging on me to try it. It is an absolute turd leaving. Best pass was a 11.78 @ 127mph but couldnt get below a 2.03 sixty foot.

Engine and trans are in. Playing with a new merge. This is painful work getting these things to fit together.

Painful but came out very nice. Looks like a very smooth transition.

How was the swap? I'm thinking of doing a Volvo wagon project and would like the news style I'd it's not a lot harder than a 240

Not a bad swap at all. Engine fits nicely in the engine bay. Made my own engine and trans mounts. Did have to massage (BFH) the trans tunnel a bit to get the 4L80E to fit.

Love the older Volvos. I've owned three, never had as much fun as your having with it though. Keep us updated!

Its alive! Wanted to fire it without the turbo to make sure there was no loose "leftovers" from the hotside pipe build going thru a new turbo.
