Granatelli MAF 
Just installed a Procharger Supercharger on my 03 Corvette, and the tuner told me that the Granatelli MAF model number 350119-C (Cold air tuning) I was using would cause severe detonation and ruin the engine, Does that seem accurate?Thanks.

running a tune for a stock maf, that maf will cause problems.
since im a firm believer in needing a screen for any car with the ati airbox, i would go back to stock. (f-car)
im not sure how the piping goes for the Y cars, but either way, i would want a maf that accurately reads the air coming through, and not one that makes the car think its taking in less air. (making car run more timing, less fuel = boom on a FI car)

I have a Granatelli MAF, but i dont know the part number...... i bought it from MTi last time i was at the dyno...... Jayson tuned my car with it. I was seein KR.

the maf will definitely not CAUSE detonation... if you have a tune on top of it.
the thing is with a stock maf gm gives you the maf curve.. this curve is crucial to helping the computer calculate how much fuel to send.
with this aftermarket one, you don't know the airflow curve of it.. so you guess a little or try to calculate it yourself and so on.. it is easier for your tuner to tell you to go buy another maf than for him to figure yours out...though i wouldn't say something like 'it will ruin your engine' lol.
