Removing MSD 6BTM
. Anyways, I don't have the funds to go to a coil per cylinder setup yet, so I'm putting on an MSD cap and rotor for now.I've heard a lot that people with optis, even with blowers/turbos, should not be running ignition boxes and upgraded coils as they kill optis, and the stock setup will provide enough spark by keeping my plugs gapped in the .26-.28 range.
So, my question is, what impact will there be if I remove the MSD 6BTM? I know how to simply bypass the box on the ignition side by putting in a couple wires. There are more connections though. Can I just bypass the box on the ignition side? If I do, are any of the timing controls still in place?
