1000rwhp is probably the upper limits with 4 bolt style heads for reliability keeping the gaskets in place. With an auto 1200rwhp is equivalent to about 1400rwhp with an M6.. Plus 70-80ft lbs of torque on the head studs isn't a lot to keep heads in place unless you have the 1/2" setup machined in. Time will tell. Our Dart LS Next aluminum builds have 1/2" head bolts as standard. According to ARP, 1/2" bolts provide 50% more clamping power than 7/16" bolts. |
