wrapping Turbos bad or good

headers can crack with wrap (or without- depending on base vs welding material and how much weight it's supporting (not braced?)).
turbo exhuast housings over time like to crack by themselves, depending on your application, so I would expect a wrap directly to the housing to aggrivate the problem. To what degree and if the hp/spool gains would be worth it, would be conjecture until someone did it.
You may want to look at other ways to get heat out from under the hood (proper venting). Or even fab up a heat shield of sorts as this is generally the route you see on most turbo kits and factory turbo cars.

Corkys book should be available online just about everywhere (like Chapters or Amazon)... That and I also come accross it at a lot of local performance shops. Goes through some very good basics on everything.
