Default Blower gears/stall with turbos

Hey guys, if anyone has been following me threads, I have been in the process of putting together a twin turbo LT1 setup from my previous blower build/stroker.

I just finished the rear of the car a few months back when I still had the procharger. I set the car up with 3.73's and I am running 335/35/17's for the street (25.7" tire).

I also had Vigilante 9.5" converter cut and restalled for the blower setup which consisted of a 396cid LT1 stroker with a D1SC and a 236/245 112lsa cam

How badly is this going to hurt me with the twin turbos? It would really suck to have to spend the time/money on doing that all over again with a deeper gear and have the stall changed.

Here is the turbo setup I am building for reference

96 Impala SS
396cid LT1, Advanced Induction 200cc heads, Advanced Induction cam (waiting on them to spec me a turbo cam)
Twin Borg Warner/AGP S256 56mm .82 A/R, 2.74/2.42 turbine wheel
Cahall Pro Race 4l60e

Looking for around 700rwhp.

It's a pig heavy car, probably going to weigh in when all is said and done at around 4300 w/o driver. I'm hoping this will help balance the steep gears out a bit and the turbos will still have some load to play with. The car is mostly street driven and I'm building it to be sort of an all around 4 door sports car that can perform on a road race track, drag track, standing mile but most of all, cruise comfortably on the street.

Think I should just run it as is, or are gears/converter going to really hurt me?

Thanks!

What does "have some load to play with" mean?

I mean that the car is pretty heavy, so I was hoping that would help balance out the steep gear as far as the motor being under load.

One issue I have though is that I am running a very short tire and the 1st gear ratio in the 60e is horribly short at 3.08. Maybe this would be a good thing with the 3.73's as I won't build much boost in 1st so the gear would actually be usable traction wise?

I don't know. I don't see too many 3.73 turbo cars at all, but most builds I have seen have been cars that didn't weigh as much as this one.

I am hoping the car will trap somewhere in the mid 130's. With a 3.42 rear and the 335/35/17's, I'd be hitting mid 130's at about 6000 rpm's which seems about right.

With the 3.73's I have now, I could do the same thing if I ran a 28" tire at the track...but I'm really more concerned with how the car is going to feel in street trim with the 335/35/17's. I could always swap tires at the track to trap at the top of 3rd, but I'm going to spend many more hours driving the car on the street with the short tire than at the track.

In case anyone is wondering why I don't just go to a taller tire on the street, I notched the frame and picked up a set of rare ROH wheels widened to 11.5" that match the factory front Impala SS wheels only with a deeper lip. It is the look I always wanted for the car and it took a while to make it all come together, but the only choice of tire I have is a 335/35/17 (25.8"-26")

I have 3.55s and a 27" tall tire. I kinda regret not going 3.27. First gear is useless above 8 PSI, even though I don't shift into 2nd until 65 mph. 2nd gear only hooks with ET street radials when it's warm enough out for the tires to soften up. Shifts into third around 100mph.
