My first turbo ls So I recently picked up a 86 camaro for a drag car build and have started gathering parts so far my list is
6.0lq4 with a bad head 300 bucks
853 heads and 2 computers traded for a 350 short block and a 305 bare block
Wiring harness for cable Tb 25 bucks
Ebay turbo headers and turbo mounts 300 trying to decide on what size turbos would work best and any other suggestions would be appreciated also have a tick v1 turbo cam I bought for my 4.8 truck but sold the truck before the turbo went on

I'd like to make around 500 hp and around 1500 left for the motor at this point and I can get 114 at my local station to mix with my regular 93 octane
500rwhp is easy with an LS. Grab a chinese turbo from vsracing along with their BOV/WG combo, pick up a cheap intercooler, and away you go, spend the rest on fuel pump, injectors and a knock off regulator and call it a day!

I've got two hx40 chargers I have ran on my diesels and was thinking bout runni ng them with 80lb injectors
I wouldn't run an HX40, I'd run a chinese unit before that. The bearing structure inside those holsets are junk and won't take much abuse. For a very low boost application, maybe, but honestly you'd be a lot better off with a modern knock off.
