Default S480 LQ4 build

Hey whats guys? Im new to the turbo scene, but not new to racing. I had a Mid 5sec SFB Nitrous car that I have since switched over to a 6.0 turbo build. Build as follows:
-6.0
al new rings/earings/honed block
317 heads with mild work/ BTR springs/comp push rods/trunion upgrade
LS1 intake
LJMS stage 3 cam
80lb injectors/Magna Fuel Pump and reg
Going to run c-16
Maga squirt pro for ignition
S480 w/ race cover (T-6)
A2W Intercooler
Ultimate converter concepts 9.5" billet converter
Power glide

Car has fully built suspension...went 1.21 60ft with last set up. car weights around 2800 lbs. I know its asked all the time, but with do you think this combo is capable of. Its going to be 95% race car, so it will be max effort.

Top it off with some methanol and you'll make some big power with that setup! It's definitely going to MPH like a son of a bitch.

It's not that hard to come up with. Your setup could make around 800-850 safely, and it will most definitely weigh more than your nitrous setup. So add in how much more or less power you are goinng to make, and add the weight, and you have a pretty good guess at what you are going to run.

You're really pushing it at that power level.

Yeah, IF you could actually make that power on the stock LS1 style rods, the only place you are going to do it, is on a dynojet pull. But it would never survive a launch at the track.

Might be surprised how long it lasts. My advice, don't get greedy with the timing. I'd run e85 if it were me and it was a race car.

right now I only have 80lb injectors. don't this that will support E-85 and the power level I want to be at.

Get rid of them, buy some big injectors and run e85. You'll see that 900whp you're after for a lot longer than race fuel alone.

I'd honestly tone it down a bit to keep it alive until the budget allows a proper build for a power goal that high with any type of longevity.

My gen3 lq4, s480, th400, 9" and 80lb injectors on 93 pump gas made 602 at the wheels at 4800 rpm then converter started to slip so power started to fall off. Since then I bought a new converter but never got back on the dyno yet. It'll make 700 easy if not more by just guessing but my 3100 lb car went a best of 9.24@150 still spinning and a **** 1.4 60'. People talk a lot of **** about the gen3 stuff but if the tune-up is good you'll be fine. I beat the living **** out of mine and leave off the trans brake at 3800 and 14lbs of boost and bounce off revlimiter a lot and still running like a champ! Keep on with your build, you'll be just fine.

My Gen 3 has been in my car for over 10k miles and a little over 3 years. Has been over 600+ rwhp the majority of the time as well as made numerous 9 second passes and many trips to Mexico. Plan on pushing it into the 150+ trap speed area this year and hopefully squeeze some low 9's out of it on the footbrake. That should equate to over 800 rwhp.
