Methanol spray before or after iat sensor Have a 95 lt1 supercharged.. Im hooking up my methonal kit.. I wanted to mount my nozzle in the 90 elbow area close by the throttle body. But I was told not tonly put it before the iat sensor cause false readings... for all the lt1 owners where did u mount yours and was the iat sensor in same position or did u relocate it... I was possible thinking putting the nozzle where the iat sensor goes aND drilling a hole Lil Wayne back on the same 90 elbow and mounting it there. Can anyone help me on this.. just if it will be fine or relocate or what... the nozzle would be about 3" away from the iat if I mounted it before the sensor
It sensor with meth My meth nozzle was about 3" before the iat sensor, theory was if the meth quits under boost hopefully the computer will see the rise in temp and correct, ran it 3 yrs this way no issues
Mine is before the IAT but I have never used the meth kit on mine.
Depends on how your tune uses the meth, are you supplementing fuel up top with it, or just spraying to hope to control IAT?

My meth nozzle is before my IAT sensor. Had it tuned 3 different times that way on different combos. Never had any issue. Never had to replace the sensor due to corrosion either. I am running a 50:50 water meth mix though, so running pure meth will be more corrosive.
I put the IAT on the intake and the meth nozzles about 12" before the TB. IAT readings have been very consistent and I have a few safety measures based on IAT readings.
IAT readings follow the meth injection activation and deactivation quick enough. I'm thinking on using a faster resistor but for now it reacts fast enough
