Newb boost controller questions
Hey guys, I've had my first turbo car for a while now (2000 SS M6 with a turbonetics t76), and I'm wanting to get a turbo smart boost tee. I had 3 simple questions about it:
1. Will it help turbo spool? I've heard mixed answers
2. When fully open or closed, whichever way creates the least amount of boost, will it make the same psi as it did with just the wastegate?
3. Does mounting location matter as far as function? Could it be mounted inside without effecting the way it performs?
Thanks for any info! Logan

1. It depends, as it does block some signal to the gate it has potential to help spool. But as there are other variables involved...whether it will for your install or not, wont know until you try it.
2. That can also depend how you had your old setup configured relative to the new. But lowest setting on the "controller" should usually be your base spring pressure....allowing for the fact the controller also has a spring that will determine how much air the gate sees.
3. Pipe runs from compressor cover ( best boost source ) to gate should always be as short as possible, so yes hose length can affect how it operates.
