Default comp engineering motor plate

I have a question when people use the comp engineering motor plate spaces water pump out then balancer alternator don't line up what is everyone doing.

1 not worrying about the alignment only 6mm on water pump lots of room
2 make a 6mm spacer ring for balancer making sure crank seal still okay
??

any help appreciated

I'm in the middle of a similar delima.....and to add to the problem I'm incorporating a truck alternater mount with a vette Waterpump on the motor plate and crank hub... It appears like Waterpump has plenty of surface area but that ribbed belt tensioner that mounts to the Waterpump is the real issue.
I'm going to shave a 1/4" off the back of the mounting area of the tensioner to bring it back into alignment with the crank hub.

Or you could get rid of the water pump and go electric ?? I had clearance issues so went that way. But my plate is 25.4mm thick
