Not enough information...

How much fluid?
water/meth ratio?
Entire engine/turbo combination?
fuel used?
Boost pressure?

Answering that would be a start anyway...

Not sure on ratio maybe 50/50 or straight meth
Ford 4ltr barra/ aussie motor
98 oct pump
20 psi
Factory ecu so tune pull timing vs intake temps

For a simple/basic cooling setup… 13/14 gph of flow for 50/50 on a 4 liter @ 20lbs/7k. Factoring in the pressure that’s 1 8gph nozzle around 250-300psi. You don’t need to mess with the tune at those levels. Just install and go.

If you wanted to step it up and run more boost…. Run a progressive kit on 100% meth with 2 12gph nozzles. That will require you to pull fuel from the tune.

Depends what you mean by gains… Is the engine intercooled?

Small amounts of methanol net small gains in CC/charge cooling and octane. Large amounts of methanol = large gains.

Water on the other hand pulls quite a bit of heat from the CC, even in small amounts. If you’re not detonating without the water in the cyl, a cooler CC isn’t going to do much for you. It’s more of a buffer in case of bad gas or elevated ambient temps. If you add boost/timing along with larger amounts of water, you can make a healthy jump in power as well. Problem I’ve always had with water is you can’t spray large volumes of it without having IGN/spark problems. I haven’t tried pushing any beefy coil on plug setups and large amounts of water. So I’m not sure how much you can get away with these days.

When you start mixing water/meth you can get the best of both worlds. The ratio will depend on the setup and what you want out of it.

Also Watch the plugs closely if you lean on the tune with water/meth. Have some fail safes in place if the system were to fail as well.

If you're going to spray pre-turbo and are hoping for that cooling factor, I would run a 2nd nozzle and spray post-turbo as well.
