future 408 rebuild
i just want to get some ideas going down the road for a future rebuild of the 408... here are my ideas lmk ur opinions or expierence.. Ok so first of all my 408 took a dump. well not a dump but 2 ls7 lifters failed and well it had me thinkin of a new set up since the old one was a high compression motor and its around the 30k mark now so im planning a rebuild .SO now im thinking of doing a turbo set up with the motor.. SO my question is what would the ideal compression be for a turbo set up..my previous compression was 11;8;1 if i recall correctly.. with the ls3 heads and -2cc diamond pistons. im looking for around maybe 900rwhp to about say 1k give or take. Not sure whether i should use the same rotating assemembly and just swap the pistons since i no longer have the heads this could be a good option to lower it. what are some good heads and valve train that would give me my goals Plus i would want to run a vic jr with elbow type set up... SO should i step up the internals too while i would be at it?
my motor consisted of q lq9 block
eagle rods and eagle crank
arp2000 everything
diamond -2cc dish pistons
