Yea the way that thing stalls up so quickly past 4k is a good thing. You can run largeish turbos, and the more power after peak torque the better.
Honestly with all that access to cool lake water, I bet you could get away with pump gas on a cheap china A2W IC. Might not be worth the hassle if you want to keep it simple, but sure seems like a waste not to use that cool water supply!
