FI tech blow thru 5.3 on E85
Was thinking about building a 5.3 LM7 upgraded springs and cam. A 76 single turbo no intercooler hoping carb based efi does same as blow thru carbs acting like a intercooler. With Fi tech 1200hp system controlling fuel and spark. In 69 Gto 400 turbo and 4.11 rear. Will be street and strip mostly street. Will this work?

Nope it doesn't. The emulsification tubes in a carb "super atomize" the fuel. Which helps in cooling the charge a little, but I'd not nearly as well as a decent intercooler. The EFI carb/throttle body setups do not do this.
What's your power goal? FItech is a pretty limited setup. Once you factor in the BSFC of a turbo setup and E85 it's only good for around 800 crank HP. Just go with the factory intake and larger injectors. Powered by a plug and play Megasquirt or Holley EFI.

I tuned a car a couple months ago that had an FI Tech system on it. Hated it. It is a bare-bones EFI system. I think it works well on a setup where an old guy just wants to get his "ole three fiddy chevrolet" running in his 57 Belair. Then, it is fine, sure, but I wouldnt be using it for anything much more complicated than that.
And Force is right on the money. They rate the units by how much fuel they can put out. So, E85 will put a damper on those numbers real quick.
