I talked to them, and the restrictor I was using is telhe right one. And said I only needed minimum of 7 psi of oil pressure at the turbo.

Had to bring this thread back because I am going through the same exact issue. I have about 60 miles on my new cxracing 80mm and I couldn't get it to go into boost. It makes a noise like a bad tensioner bearing and then slows down. It was fine as it spools up then bogs right before boost. For oiling i have a hv/hp pump, .047" restrictor (they said run a 030 - 035) at idle w/o restrictor i can fill a cup with oil in around 25sec. Have freeflowing 7/8" drain to top front of pan. WORST PART is I called cxdicks and got hung up on soon as i said my turbo failed!

Have less than 100 miles on it and the turbo has taken a ****. It went to squalling and the best I can tell iy has locked up. Ill know tomorrow when I pull it. I've checked the oil feed and have oil going to the turbo. I run the restrictor that came with the turbo. I think its .035. Not sure what went wrong, I dont think it was the fault of the turbo, but maybe I didn't have enough oil flow. Any ideas?

I just tore it down and found the inner circlip holding the turbine bushing completely off! The journal bearing was moving around and binding up in there! Gaw dam chinese!

I ran the supplied restrictor on my 76/65 from CX and it’s journal bearing. Put on 500 miles or so with no issue. RunniNg a GMPP HV oil pump which is a stock LS6 pump and I only have 20psi hot oil pressure at idle.

I always thought that journal wanted no reatrictor and BB needed a restrictor.

The restrictor measured .035”. I just yanked the turbo and put in a VS cast 78/75 and drilled out the feed to 1/8” as VS says no reatrictor and mine is journal bearing again.
